Thursday 8 July

5 – 6 pm: Welcome drinks

We invite all delegates to join us for welcome drinks in the Pavilions, UNSW. Enjoy some finger food and drinks whilst mingling with other conference speakers and delegates. This welcome reception is included in your conference registration fee.

6 – 9 pm: Social Dinner

After welcome drinks, we will be having dinner at local restaurants in Randwick. All will be within walking distance of UNSW.

Please note: There will be at least three restaurants, all serving up different cuisines, to choose from. You must register your interest at the registration desk before noon. This dinner is self-funded and is not included in the registration fee.

Sydney offers a large variety of cuisines to suit any taste. Pick from Asian, Mediterranean, African, South American, Western, or good old Australian. Use www.menulog.com.au to plan your next meal in Sydney, or the ICOPE committee is happy to point you to recommendations close by UNSW.

Friday 9 July

8 – 9 am: First year UG early bird roundtable

Bring your coffee and join us for an early bird session in the Mathews Theatres to discuss current issues in first year psychology education. Limited light refreshments will be available. First in best dressed!

5.30pm – late: Walk around the rocks and CONFERENCE DINNER

The ICOPE 2010 Conference Dinner will be held on the 9th July, Friday at Manta Waterfront Restaurant. The restaurant is situated at Woolloomooloo wharf, offering superior views of the harbour front making for an exceptional dining experience. To view location and pictures of the restaurant, click:

We will provide private buses from the University to Manta Restaurant, possibly with a stop at the Opera House and Sydney Bridge for photography enthusiasts. In addition, scheduled buses will bring us back to UNSW and the Coogee beach area after dinner.

We would love to enjoy a night of fine food and wine with you, followed by some chatting in the bar area. This is also the chance to mingle with our keynote speakers and network with other conference delegates.

Please note: Dinner tickets cost $120 each for the meal and transportation to and from the restaurant. The meal includes main course, dessert, coffee/tea, and a glass of wine per person. The dinner ticket is not included as part of your registration fee. To secure a space, login to your current booking (have your booking number and password ready) and select the Conference dinner. Please note that in an effort to keep the dinner group small, spaces WILL BE limited and we will abide by a first come first served policy.

Saturday 10 July

5pm – late: Dinner and Drinks

Following the close of the conference, delegates are invited to join the ICOPE committee for drinks at a pub nearby, followed by dinner. This event is self-organised.
